On November 1, 2018, LULAC President Andre Guerrero and Hendrix's President William Tsutsui signed Memorandum of understanding to provide scholarships and create opportunities for students with Latin American heritage to attend Hendrix College and have the programs, projects, and activities necessary to help address college persistence issues.

One of the better-attended scholarship banquets every year is the one put on each fall by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 750 Little Rock at the Clinton Presidential Center. This year 47 students received LULAC scholarships ranging from $250 to $2,500. UALR Provost Zulma Toro gave the keynote address of the night.
